"Nevada" - a progressive / eclectic rock band out of Hawthorne, Nevada
is the brainchild of singer / songwriter, Zak Domogalla. Their first
album "... Of The World" (produced and arranged by multi-Grammy Award
Winner / KC and the Sunshine Band co-founder, Richard Finch) is
available at www.nevadatheband.com.
No stranger to creating successful music projects, Domogalla released
two albums ("Act II" and "Anywhere's Better Than Here") through his
former band, "Ode To Nothing," which he founded in late 2005. Both
albums received substantial media attention (both TV and radio) in
Nevada, California, Montana, New York, England and Australia - with
store sales as far away as France!
Domogalla anticipates an even greater success with Nevada's "... Of The World."
With a gift for writing songs which convey a sense of hope in a world
of hopelessness, Domogalla believes his latest creations --- both
"Nevada" and their debut album, "... Of the World" --- intimately
touches on the sensitivity and passion embedded in his musical soul:
"My goal as an artist is to connect with people --- if even one person
gets my message or feels my music, then it's totally worth it!"
Despite what your ears tell you, Night Artery is entirely a solo
project. Manning all the instruments, Ross Arundale delivers
off-kilter, unconventional arrangements laced with cryptic lyrics and
dynamic vocals on his debut release. For more information and to

What the band has to say:
We
love music as a whole. Everything from Bach to Gwar has influenced us.
We don't stand apart from bands, we stand with them. There is an
essence and influence we share, but the soul of our music stands alone.

MAX RUDD AND ANTHONY LAIDO OF DUBSOUND DISTORTION WERE SELECTED AS A
"FINALIST" IN THE VH-1 SONG OF THE YEAR SONGWRITING CONTEST. THEIR
SONG "PSYCHEDELIC LIZARD" MADE IT TO THE TOP 5 SONGS IN THE FEB. 2008
CONTEST ROUND.
Here's a review of "Live from Rehab"
"Live
Form Rehab" by DubSound Distortion is high-energy funk/rock with lyrics
dealing with the fight against inner demons. The overall sound is a
nice mix of classic blues rock and a George Clinton style funk. The
arrangements are lively and very raw. The rhythm section is tight. The
guitar work is original and the lyrics are delivered with a vengance.
Highlights include "Pigs Got Guns," which is funked to the max with a
crazy beat, wicked bass line, wailing wah guitar and a powerful vocal
performance. "Jack Daniels" takes you down south a bit with a killer
blues riff. "Snow" wraps it up nicely with another crazy funk jam. If
you like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, give this CD a listen.
Morris Acevedo has performed with an unusual variety of Jazz and Pop artists. In
the Boston area, he played with Joshua Redman, Jim Black, Ken
Vandermark, the Either Orchestra, the Charlie Kolhase Quintet, organ
Trio Be-3 and the Matt Wilson group. In the San Francisco Bay Area
performances include Richie Cole's Alto Madness Orchestra, Dam East and
various groups lead by Morris. He also spent several years in one of the
early incarnations of Charlie Hunter drummer, Scott Amendola's group.
Pop music performances include motown / top-40group the Marsels and
Martha Reeves and the Vandellas in the Boston area. The strangest gigs he has ever had was an acoustic "un-plugged" performance with pop legend Boy
George as part of a dance music conference in San Francisco. Last but
not least, he's been a proud member of eclectic pop-groups lead by
Emily Bezar, Jessie Turner and Noe Venable. The last Bay Area group he
played in was vocalist Ann Dyer's quartet.
Allene Rohrer does not sound like anyone in particular. Perhaps this is
due to her early inundation of classical music, old folk songs and
African folk and urban music. She was not exposed to popular music
until she got her first radio and the ability to control what she
listened to when she was 12 years old. While she readily embraced this
new music, she never forgot her roots, which can be glimpsed in her
beautiful melodic structures and eclectic rhythms. Being outside the
box puts Allene in a unique position to appeal to a diverse
cross-section of listeners.
She has performed in and contributed
songs to San Francisco Bay Area bands The Mean Streaks, The Blue
Bloods, Trench, Danger, Thread &The Biddy & Buddy Show. She has
also lent her vocal abilities to many other local groups in performance
and recordings. Her song writing style encompasses singer-songwriter,
pop, folk, rock, country, jazz, and blues. Currently she is performing
in Emulating Doris, with Ed Buchanan and Gennui Rafill, and working
towards composing for other performers and for film and television.
Allene
has two self-releases, Synergism (released November 2001) and Alchemy
(released January 2008). She has had a song featured on the E
television program Hollywood Nights about the popular Los Angeles
nightclub Club Cherry. Her song Eyes (from Alchemy) is part of the
soundtrack for the award winning independent short film Gypsies, Tramps
& Thieves. Allene’s recent release, Alchemy, was rated number 1 in
Zeitgeist’s hottest reviews of January 2008.
